Steve Nunn

Steve Nunn lives and breathes aviation—both personally and professionally. His journey into aviation began in an unexpected way: on his honeymoon in Baja, Mexico. While watching pilots land on a remote sand runway, Steve was captivated by the freedom and adventure of flying. By the end of the trip, he was determined to become a pilot. Upon returning home, he earned his license and has since flown to Baja numerous times, embracing the very lifestyle that first inspired him.
Professionally, Steve serves as the Director of Business Development at Maxcraft Avionics Ltd., located in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. Maxcraft is one of Canada’s largest full-service avionics shops, providing advanced avionics solutions to a wide range of aircraft operators—from piston and turboprop to jet and helicopter. The company has a strong specialization in the PA-46 platform, and Steve flies both Malibu and his personal Cessna 206 Amphib.
Steve was elected to the PMOPA Board in 2023, where he actively contributes through multiple committees focused on enhancing member value, safety, and engagement. His leadership experience also includes serving as President of the B.C. Floatplane Association, where he played a key role in building collaborative relationships with government agencies to gain access to hundreds of lakes within B.C. Parks—an initiative that greatly benefited the floatplane community.
Outside of aviation, Steve is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys skiing, road and mountain biking, and a variety of wind sports including windsurfing, kiting, and wing foiling.
